So, the, uh, the trailer for the new animated prequel film, 'Transformers ONE' just dropped today, and, um... Iiiiiiiiiiit is garbage. I'm not saying this just to be a contrarian or because I have a stick up my bonnet about any TF movie that doesn't involve Michael Bay. No. I'm saying this because this upcoming movie looks even MORE derivative, obnoxious, and substanceless than the prior two movies [which were ALSO prequels, for what that's worth] I don't know how this could theoretically connect to any of the other movies [though its pretty clear by this point that the suits at Hasbro and Paramount just don't care about canon and will BS any kind of logical loopholes to try and assuage us] but judging it on it's own terms, it looks utterly boring and bereft of creativity or ingenuity, no one acts like how they should, and I have a strong feeling that by the film's end, they'll each only have at best a passing, surface-level resemblance to the characters we all know. The 'comedy'

Well, another year has come and gone. We are now four years into the third decade of the new millennium. And, as I’m sure we all remember; this decade didn’t exactly start off with a bang. I mean, well, it DID; but it was more like a gunshot to the knee, courtesy of your idiot best friend, who decided to get stone drunk before playing with his dad’s anti-home-invader handgun. But have things improved, since 2020? Have the past three years shown any uptick? Well, the short answer is ‘No’, but the long answer is far more complicated, but to summarize the long answer just a bit, I’ll say that things WILL get better, but things might very well have to get worse, first. Now for the proper long answer; Not necessarily much happened in the world of politics and current events. Oh, there are some definitive standouts, don’t get me wrong, but the waves of chaos and madness have become more like irritated ripples in a lake. With the 2024 US election approaching, Trump has been gearing up

This year might have been a bit of a load for me, but I still managed to get in my usual haul of deviations for the yearly Christmas dump! Plenty of additions to my Lego Thomas and Friends gallery, as usual; Some rebuilds of a couple classic, but forgotten Lego lines [Slizers and Roboriders] I've also gone back to Marvel Brickfigures, but with a fun twist And a few others things I've also recently posted a 'Let's Talk About' journal entry on the Tree of Harmony, and I have two completed [if late] Halloween videos, set to debut later, today As alluded; its been a bit of a wide load, this year, but making all of these been a fun experience, and getting them out on time has made the process all the more worth it. Merry Christmas, everyone!

I know you've talked about the two major Hasbro properties with My Little Pony and Transformers, so gonna ask about the other Hasbro show they made.

What did you think of Littlest Pet Shop with both the 2012 show and A World Of Our Own with the 2012 show even sharing some staff from MLP Friendship is Magic with similar writers, voice actors, and songwriter? Considering it seemed Hasbro was trying to make it their third big franchise in animation in the 2010s with My Little Pony and Transformers, how'd the two Littlest Pet Shop shows fare?

May as well throw my hat in the ring for How You Think Walt Would React To The Following Media:

- Littlest Pet Shop 2012

- The Fairly OddParents

- Kim Possible

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

LPS'12 - Nice, simple, but perhaps not all that interesting

FOP - He'd probably find it a heavily reimagined take on 'Cinderella'

KP - I don't know if Disney was ever one for Spy stories, but he might find the show interesting

TMNT - [87] he probably wouldn't be too interested. He'd likely find the franchise concept intriguing, but the cartoon, itself, he might've found it goofy, stupid, but safe, [NLC] ironically, he'd question why the film wasn't animated, but would likely like the more serious tone, compared to the cartoon, [2003] probably the closest to what he'd be looking for, in the given context, but likely still too dark for his tastes, [2012] maybe closer to what he might look for, but I'm not sure he'd be too big on the animation, or the humor, [Platinum Dunes] he'd most likely find it chaotic, messy, immature, and in need of a tighter story, [RotTMNT] he probably wouldn't like the animation, or the immature humor and tonal inconsistency, [MM] it would probably be too modern for him to follow, he'd feel too out of touch with it, and not understand the modern youth enough to do so

As we're approaching Apr 1st, what are your thoughts again on this EqD April Fools Post from 10 years ago with hindsight?

Bittersweet in hindsight, a goofier, but much more optimistic vision of where things could have gone. Apparently they're trying to carry on gen5 with a new villain, but it looks like 2025 may end up being the drop off point for many, maybe even gen5 as a whole.

I'd still like a revival, no matter how unlikely it would be

Thoughts on Jim residing in Vancouver, Canada?

Not surprising. I mean, a lot of cartoons I've seen have actually been either Canadian or Canadian-produced
