IT SUCKS!!!!

I'm legitimately sorry to anyone who reads this and genuinely liked the movie, but Holy Celestia, this movie was nothing more than padding, two-dimensional, shallow characters, and setup for something that BARELY even happened!

The entire Crystal Prep school is written with barely a second thought, they're just a bunch of obnoxious @$$holes with annoying one-note traits and that's ALL we know about them! We never get to know than better or see WHY specifically any of them are acting the way they are; they legitimately exist SOLELY for the purpose of making Canterlot High look less crppY

But by far the worst is 'Principal Cinch'! There is nothing even remotely likable or interesting about her, she exists ONLY to serve as the antagonist BECAUSE these dumb@$$ movies MUST ALWAYS have an antagonist! She's prideful, selfish, entirely self-centered, and is willing to let her students DIE in favor of herself! WORSE STILL, she is willing to risk the lives of everyone SO THAT HER SCHOOL CAN WIN A STUPID COMPETITION!!!!!!

Oh yeah, and as for the 'Friendship Games' themselves? Pointless. They're not even essential to the climax, unlike in 'Rainbow Rocks' where at least the BOTB was key to defeating the Dazzlings in the climax. Not to mention that there's WAY too much emphasis on this thing and not, oh I don't know, the LIFE THREATENING DANGERS PRESENT! Seriously, almost everyone cares more about the games than they do about these magic anomalies.

And how was Twilight able to build that magic gadget, anyway??? Never explained.

And then there's the ending... just... holy frick... the ending...

Now, before I continue, I would just like to say that I did have my own idea for the ending, and it goes something like this:
You all remember how Celestia warned Twilight of an 'imbalance' in the first movie? Well, this ending is the followup to that warning; because of all the travel between worlds over the years and because both worlds operate [apparently] on differently functioning timelines, this movie would be where that Imbalance finally comes into play as [like in the 'Reflections' comic arc] the two worlds start to merge with each other, causing the ponies from Equestria to start crossing over into the humanverse. There's no real antagonist to this story, only the damage done to the multiverse caused in part by Sunset Shimmer. In the end, Shimmer is forced to forever seal the rift and by extension the gateway, leaving her permanently trapped in the human world. everyone is safe, but its a bittersweet ending as Shimmer -regardless of having since reformed, must now live with a hefty consequence of her past evils, though not all is gloomy because she has her Humane-6 friends and Alternate Twilight and Spike to help her move on. I personally quite like this alternative because its a way to show kids how to deal with Reality, how to take karma, both good and bad, and a reminder that no matter how much you've changed, your past will always catch up with you. A very mature ending, in my opinion.

Spoiler alert, this is pretty much the opposite of what they did.

I won't spoil it for any of you, but I will say that in regards to the actual ending, I really do get what they were trying to go for, there, but almost everything in the climax was as if it were pulled right out of a cow's @$$ and dn't make any sense to me. That ending was the last straw for me, I now have no faith at all in these movies or the proposed spin-off TV series.

I didn't want to hate this movie, I really didn't, but there were just so many things wrong with this that i can no longer let these movies off easily. This was beyond disappointment,

This movie, plain and simple; is Failure.
